A five-day Damavand climb with a measured acclimatisation day, hut night at Bargah-e Sevom and a long summit day on volcanic scree and snow.

Tehran to Camp 1
Time: 2–3 hrDistance: 5 km
Drive to the mountain, permit check and a short acclimatisation walk near the first camp.
Camp 3 approach
Time: 5–6 hrDistance: 7 km
4WD to the lower camp, then hike steadily to Bargah-e Sevom at 4,200 m.
Acclimatisation climb
Time: 4–5 hrDistance: 5 km
Climb toward 4,600–4,700 m and return to sleep lower before the summit attempt.
Summit day
Time: 10–12 hrDistance: 12 km
Early start up the south route to 5,610 m, passing the sulphur vents before descending to camp.
Return to Tehran
Time: 3–4 hrDistance: 6 km
Descend to the roadhead, collect luggage and drive back toward Tehran.
